Pittsfield Insulation is a residential and commercial insulation contractor based in Pittsfield, MA. We provide services including but not limited to spray foam insulation, attic insulation, blown-in insulation, crawl space insulation, basement insulation, wall insulation, air sealing, vapor barrier installation, and insulation removal.
All services are performed in the service areas listed on our website. We reserve the right to decline any project that falls outside our service area or that we determine is outside our scope of expertise.
All estimates provided by Pittsfield Insulation are based on the information available at the time of the site visit. Written estimates are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated. Final pricing is confirmed in writing before work begins.
Estimates are based on observable conditions at the time of the visit. If hidden conditions are discovered during the course of work - such as unexpected moisture, structural damage, pest activity, or conditions requiring additional materials - we will notify you before proceeding. Any change to the original scope of work that affects pricing will be documented in a written change order, which requires your approval before the additional work is performed.
We do not provide binding guarantees of energy savings or utility bill reductions. While proper insulation typically improves energy efficiency, actual savings depend on many factors outside our control including usage habits, equipment condition, and utility pricing.
Once a project start date is confirmed, we ask for at least 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may result in a rescheduling fee, which will be communicated to you at the time of booking.
We reserve the right to reschedule work due to weather conditions, equipment issues, or circumstances outside our control. We will notify you as soon as possible if we need to make any changes to a confirmed schedule.
For spray foam and other insulation projects requiring you to vacate the premises during installation, it is your responsibility to make appropriate arrangements. We will confirm the expected re-entry time before the work begins.
Payment terms for each project are outlined in the written contract or estimate provided before work begins. In general, we may require a deposit prior to scheduling and the remaining balance upon completion of the work. Accepted payment methods will be confirmed when you book.
Final payment is due upon project completion unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Past-due balances may be subject to a late fee. In the event that collection action is required, you agree to be responsible for all reasonable costs incurred, including legal fees.
If you are applying for energy efficiency rebates through a program such as MassSave, you are responsible for submitting any required documentation to the relevant program administrators. We will provide whatever project documentation we can to assist, but we do not guarantee rebate approvals or amounts.
We stand behind the quality of our work. If you have a concern about work performed by Pittsfield Insulation, contact us promptly so we can assess the issue and address it. Our warranty, if any, will be specified in your written contract.
We do not warrant that our services will correct all moisture, air quality, or structural problems in your home. Insulation services address heat and air movement and are not a substitute for roofing, waterproofing, foundation repair, or other specialized trades. If we identify conditions during a project that require other professional attention, we will let you know, but it is your responsibility to engage those professionals separately.
Products and materials are warranted only to the extent of the manufacturer warranty provided with those products. Pittsfield Insulation makes no additional warranty on materials beyond what the manufacturer provides.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pittsfield Insulation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with our services or this website, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim arising from a project we perform shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that specific project. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions, hidden defects, or damage caused by other trades, weather, or circumstances outside our control.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal proceedings arising from or related to these terms shall be brought in the appropriate courts of Massachusetts.
